Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a new administrative building for the college of information technology and convergence on the morning of February 27.

Pukyong National University will invest 12 billion won to build an administrative building for the college of information technology and convergence with 1 underground floor and 6 above-ground floors, with a total floor area of 4,684㎡, on the site next to the Changeui building.

The college of information technology and convergence at Pukyong National University was newly established in 2022, a college to provide convergence academic education and nurture future talent. Currently, the college of information technology and convergence has 6 divisions, 2 departments, and 14 majors through the opening of new departments and reorganization of the academic organization.

Pukyong National University will carry out construction with the goal of completion in 2025 to improve education and research efficiency by integrating spaces related to the college of information technology and convergence scattered across the campus.

The administrative office, classrooms, and research labs for the college of information technology and convergence will be newly built in this building, and it is planned to connect the second floor with the Changeui building next door to improve space utilization and convenience. <Pukyong Today>
