Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced on September 28th that university operate a ‘MBTI based job search for job matching majors’ in order to increase the effect of student employment support.

This program, which runs from the 27th to the 5th of next month, combines the MBTI personality type test, which is popular among people in their 20s and 30s, into the employment program.

The MBTI personality type test is a test that analyzes and presents the tester as one of 16 types by dividing the four scales into two criteria: introversion/extroversion, sensory/intuition, emotion/thought, and judgment/perception.

This program was prepared to increase the participation rate of students by using topics of high interest in various social media recently, and to provide opportunities for students to explore jobs that match their personalities and majors so that they can systematically explore their career paths.

Pukyong National University divides its participants into eight categories, including language arts, humanities, design, business/economics, natural sciences, engineering, fisheries science, and environment/marine science, and receives a total of 150 applications and conducts the program online.

Participants can obtain basic information about the main and secondary functions, inferior functions, preference trends, etc. of each MBTI type such as INTJ (scientist type), ENTP (inventor type), and ESTJ (businessperson type) from experts. After that, each participant will be able to search for jobs that match their majors in each department.

An official from Pukyong National University's University Job Center said, "We hope that this program will provide an opportunity for participants to objectively understand themselves and to set up a self-directed and rational career path." <Pukyong Today>
