’One touch leads to the total information of Busan Bus Route’

PKNU students got a spot light form the media to develop an I-Phone application
The heros are Yang Hyundong(25), Bae JiHyun(26), and Jang WonWoong(27), members of CS(Computer Sniper) club in the department of System Management and Engineering at PKNU. The article of their interview was reported in the Busan Daily Newspaper covering the first section on the page of 2 on the 7th of June.
They have developed an I-Phone application which makes it possible to search the real time information of Bus route in Busan, ’I BUS-BUSAN’, over the last four months. It  can provide the services such as indicating the desirable bus route, showing the place of the bus stop on the map, and offering the time schedule of the bus. This service has been provided for free since last March and has been downloaded by 15,000 people until now.
They set up the plan to develop ‘I BUS-BUSAN’ at the end of last December after perceiving that there are few applications served in the public area in Busan. However, the process was not that simple. GPS and Conversion of the coordinates of the latitude and longitude must have been done to offer the services.
"We got a lot of help from a local group called ’MacBooGui’ which was formed  to develop I-Phone applications." said Bae JiHyun(26) and she also added, " we have concerned on whether we can complete the program to be used but it was participating the process of creating the program itself that really gave us a great pleasure." Yang Hyundong, one of the members, admitted, " I am so proud of myself when I get ’thank you’ mails or calls from the acquaintances or the program users."
They say that "We would like to develop I-Phone applications in the public areas that  Busan citizens could use at anytime and anywhere". They have also developed ‘I BUS-ULSAN’ which is in the screening process of the application. This service can be provided as early as the end of this month.  They are planning to create new program called ’PIFF applicaiton’ which can give information of movies and city map service in cooperation with PIFF.
