Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) has been selected for the ‘customized employment service for students’ project by the Ministry of employment and labor.

This project supports university students with customized employment services at each stage from admission to graduation to provide various work experience opportunities. In Busan, Pukyong National University and Dong-Eui university were selected.

The 12 universities selected for the project, including Pukyong National University, signed an agreement with the Ministry of employment and labor at Seoul national university of science and technology on the afternoon of February 23, and agreed to actively cooperate in smooth business operation and employment support for university students.

Pukyong National University, centered on a small Business center for university jobs, plans to launch a pilot project that will receive support of 700 million won for a year from March and use the AI-based job care system to support students' employment.

Specifically, for 1st and 2nd year students, employment service-related information and practical experience opportunities are provided so that students can find their aptitude and desired job through job search and work experience, and support them in designing a job portfolio.

For 3rd and 4th year students who are preparing for employment in earnest, Pukyong National University will provide support so that they can set specific employment goals through one-on-one counseling with a professional counselor and establish an individual employment activity plan (IAP).

According to this plan, students can receive subsidies of 50,000 to 250,000 won per month if they complete vocational training, work experience programs, or self-directed employment capacity building programs and faithfully fulfill their job hunting plans.

Pukyong National University plans to promote the project by actively utilizing the employment and entrepreneurship support infrastructure and service know-how of the small Business center for university jobs, which has been operated since 2018. <Pukyong Today>
