Our educational department was first established in Busan in 1963 by the Department of Fisheries Education to nurture practicing teachers. The graduates of the department have always strived to nurture professionals for the fisheries industry from various secondary schools and institutes, and in 2003 the department changed its name to the Department of Fisheries Education in order to contribute to the balanced growth of fisheries.

Goals

This department teaches the theories and application methods of each major of educational theory and fisheries education in order to nurture secondary school teachers and intellectuals in the fisheries industry area who are able to denonstrate their creative ability to teach.

Majoring in Marine Production Engineering

Nurturing professional course teachers and intellectuals in advanced industry through marine production engineering to demonstrate creativity and leadership in marine production by studying advanced aspects of theory and their application to marine production.

Major in Aquaculture

We aim to nurture professional course teachers and intellectuals in advanced industry through aquaculture who will be able to gauge the future of industrial sites and study, teach basic studies and theories of fisheries and apply them to education.

Major in Food Engineering

We aim to nurture professional course teachers and intellectuals in the advanced industry of food engineering to contribute to knowledge on the origin of food, its preservation and the improvement of its value, the publicizing of fishery products, food product packing and food production by teaching students about fishery processes, food chemistry and food hygiene.

Major in Mechanical Engineering

We aim to nurture professional course teachers and intellectuals in the advanced industry of Mechanical Engineering to contribute to fisheries, the marine industry and ship building by focusing on the theories and technologies for large ship engines and land and design, and the production and efficient management of heat engine systems, including those with automatic control.

Major in Refrigeration Engineering

We aim to nurture professional course teachers and intellectuals in the advanced industry of Refrigeration Engineering to contribute to the engineering and industrial-related fisheries and the marine industry by flexibly responding to the development of these fields through the study of Refrigeration Engineering, air conditioning engineering, architecture environment and hygiene facility engineering, low temperature material and energy efficiency and its related studies, and industrial technology.
