- A full-length interview on 'Heize', our alumna singer invited to the spring festival

Our alumna, singer Heize visited Pukyong National University, her alma mater, and shouted "I love you, I love you guys!" out.

Heize took the stage as a guest singer on May 18, the second day of the Daedongje, Pukyong National University spring festival of 2022, which was finally held in 3 years with a bang.

Debuting in 2014, she appeared on <Mnet>'s audition program <Unpretty Rapstar2> in 2015 and is a singer-songwriter who caught public hearts.

She, who is receiving a lot of attention every time she releases a regular and a single album and is recognized as a powerful music source in the music industry, expressed her excitement like her school friends who are attending Pukyong National University when she heard the news that she would be invited to a festival at her alma mater.

The day before the concert, Heize left a comment on her Instagram saying, "I can’t sleep at the thought of meeting my sweeties." She even tagged the Pukyong National University's official Instagram account. The countless comments from school friends who wanted to see her were also commented on this post.

Heize is famous for expressing her love for her alma mater and her school friends. It is said that she participated in this festival of Pukyong National University while adjusting other busy schedules.

The student council and university headquarters moved swiftly on the day of the performance to see and hear a story about her that anyone couldn't see or hear in the performance. The performance started at 8:30 pm. To Heize, who said that she would arrive a little earlier than scheduled, the interview team requested a short interview before the performance. Heize said okay without hesitation.

Throughout the interview, Heize seemed to try to express her overflowing affection for her alma mater as best she could. Heize's real name is Jang Da-Hye, and she enrolled in Dept. of business administration in 2010.

When asked how she felt about performing at her alma mater, she said, "In fact, it's always a pleasant alma mater, and I'm so happy to be able to communicate with you through good performance by being invited again like this," she added, "I even get invited to Pukyong National University, and I feel like I've grown up a lot, and feel like I returned home in glory? Haha.. I was really happy and excited."

When asked about her memories of university, she said, "I really liked the road from the building of the College of humanities and social sciences·business administration (now the Architecture bldg.) across the lawn to the old library (now the Cheongun center)," she added, "I almost lived in the reading room section 1 at the old library, and I still vividly remember the scenery I saw there."

"I really liked the professors' lectures, so the memories of the classes are vivid and all of them remain as beautiful memories," She did not forget to talk about the department. (The story of how she studied hard to convince her parents, earning a perfect score (4.5) and being a top in the department, and a famous episode that she thought she would be scolded by professor Seong Deok-Hyeon while she was writing lyrics instead of her studies in the class, but rather than that, the professor gave her advice saying, 'Then, why don't you do that instead?')

Finally, when asked what she would like to say to her school friends, Heize asked back, "Is it the last? Already?" and added, "It's the first time I'm experiencing how much love I have for you just by the fact that we're in a relationship of school friends. I am rooting for you, I hope that you do your best for these precious moments that will never come back again, I hope you do your duty, study hard, and make many memories."
