Min-Ju Kim, junior of division of international commerce, honorably passed the exam. She is the youngest person to pass the exam.
She got noticed her news from announce of Korea Custom Service about the 30th custom agent test on 25th September as the youngest applicant among seventy seven successful applicants. The Korea Custom Service announced that applicants for the second custom service test on 22nd June totaled 678 people and the competition rate was 8.8 to 1. She said that she can't believe that she not only passed the exam, but that she was the youngest person among the applicants. She added that the main reason she could pass it was due to studying 12 hours a day for 3 years. The custom agents are the experts who are in charge of clearance of exportation and importation and they handle disputes which occur in the procedure of customs administration instead of taxpayer of customs. "I want to be a custom agent who can contribute to Korea's trade development as FTA is expanding worldwide," the youngest successful custom agent exam applicant said. Pukyong National University has produced 5 successful applicants of the exam: Sang-Hyuk Choi (graduated 2013), Chang-Hun Lee (Senior), Sung-Hoon Park (Senior), So-Yeon Park (Senior), and Min-Ju Kim (Junior). Meanwhile, Pykyong National University opened 'Haemir' for examinations, and it has been producing good performances like the chief successful applicant in 2010 and the second highest number of successful applicants for the custom agent exam in 2007. <Pukyong Today> |
