PKNU Build Large Scale Building for College of Humanities and Social Sciences and College of Business Administration
-Invested 23.76 billion won ... total 14 stories building with one story below and ten above the ground

The new large-scale education and research facility for college of humanities and social sciences and business management has been built in Pukyong National University.

The university invested its finance around 23.76 billion won for the new building, and built it on the 5,063㎡ site of east side of Daeyeon campus in Namgu, Busan. The building is two-building facility what has one story below and ten above the ground on a side and one story below and ten above the ground on the other side. 

The construction has been started on July 2011 and it has been finished after two years and seven months. The building has reinforced concrete structure, and it has 61.90m of height and 18,237㎡ of total floor area(2,816㎡ of building area). Lecture rooms, offices, and laboratories have been prepared. 

College of humanities and social science moved in the east side(14 stories floor) and headquarter of college of business administration and its two departments moved in the west side(10 stories floor).
This building has environment-friendly building with efficient energy system. The building has an water tank for rainwater used for landscaping water, and it also saves energy through high-efficiency LED lights and socket to stop standby power. In addition, it has solar generating system, so the power from the system can cover some parts of electricity used in the building and offer hot water.

Furthermore, the building is going to be a new symbol of Pukyong National University as it has a great view of Busan offing and Gwangan Bridge.<Pukyong today>
