An old man Seo Jae-Song, "I graduated from college in 67 years" was excited.

 Seo Jae-Song (88 years old, resident in Deokjeuk-myeon, Incheon), who is the former director of ’St. Vincent’s Home’ and called ’The Godfather of Abroad Adopters’, received a university diploma in 67 years.

 PKNU (President Kim Young-seup) gave the honorary diploma to Mr.Seo at the 7th Homecoming Day event which was held at Daeyeon Campus Gymnasium on the afternoon of the 14th. Mr.Seo had to give up studying 1st year after entering Fisheries economics department of Busan Fisheries National University (Former Pukyong National University) in 1950 due to the war.

 Mr.Seo was conscripted to the US Army after the Korean War broke out after entering college, and he was unable to return to college because of the difficulty of his family.

 Mr.Seo has been running ’St. Vincent’s Home’ since 1962 and has lived a life of service and devotion to care for children who are not protected by their parents, such as war orphans and mixed blood, until the end of 1994.

 In particular, he saved 1,600 adoption records, including photographs and record cards of children who were adopted abroad, helped the computerization of the adoption records of the Central Adoption Center, and helped adult adoptees get out of their way to find family members. He was awarded the 11th Incheon Social Welfare Award last year and received the National Medal of Honor from the Ministry of Health and Welfare this year.

 President Kim Young-seup said, "Mr.Seo is a proud graduate of our college who has raised the honor of his alma mater, although he has not completed all the degree programs." He said, I will respect and appreciate the footsteps of him, who contributed greatly to the settlement culture of our country. "
