Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam received Ph.D. in Honorary Politics at PKNU. Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the chairman of the Vietnam National Assembly received a Ph.D. in honorary political science from Pukyong National University.
Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, Chairman of the National Assembly, is the first woman in Vietnam to be the most respected politician in Vietnam. In particular, Korea has been regarded as a strategic partner and has contributed to the promotion of friendship between Vietnam and Korea in various fields such as labor, education, trade, as well as politics and legislation. "I am so delighted and honored to receive an honorary doctorate degree from Pukyong National University for the first time as a senior Vietnamese citizen," said Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the chairman of the National Assembly. "Today, this moment is a vivid demonstration of how well-cooperated friendship has been in various aspects during the 26 years of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and South Korea," and she added, "It is a moment that I will never forget, and my people will be delighted to hear it." Kim Young-seup, the president of PKNU said, "Pukyong National University is actively engaged in human and academic exchange with 13 Vietnamese universities and the second largest number of foreign students in Vietnam is studying about 160 Vietnamese students in PKNU. I hope that our university and Vietnam will be able to cooperate closely with each other to increase the friendship between our two countries and contribute to the development of Asian countries. " Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, the chairman of the National Assembly, met with Vietnamese students studying at Pukyong National University immediately after the award ceremony, saying, "Please study hard at Pukyong National University here and return to Vietnam with your master's degree to contribute to national development." More than 150 people attended the ceremony, including Chairman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, and Nguyen Van Giau, Chairman of the National Assembly, Nguyen Hanh Phuc, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Tran Văn Tuy, Vice-Chairman of the Korea-Vietnam Parliamentary Friendship Association, Minister of Labor and Veterans Affairs of Vietnam, Minister of Industry and Commerce, Vietnam Ambassador, Pukyong National University President Kim Young-seup, professor of postgraduate education, and Vietnamese students of Pukyong National University. <Pukyong Today> |
