Pukyong National University was selected as the "Designation and promotion support of the Innopolis Campus Project" by Busan Innopolis of Innopolis Foundation (hereafter Busan Innopolis), the R&D Innovation Cluster of the Republic of Korea.

Leader Kwon Soon-mok of Employment and Business Development Support Center of Pukyong National University and Director Oh Young-hwan, of Busan Innopolis started the business with having a signboard hanging and award ceremony for the designation and promotion support of the Innopolis Campus.

This project is a project to support start-up and technology commercialization by verifying the items of pre-founders through the skills and competence of the university.

Pukyong National University has transformed the entire Yongdang campus of 330,000 ㎡ into Industry-university cooperation complex and has a differentiated infrastructure from other universities. It is also designated as the only new technology entrepreneurial area in Yeongnam area and has been highly praised for its role as a support center for local SME research by Industry-University Institute Collaboration Research Complex Project (URP).

Pukyong National University will be provided a total of 400 million won over the next two years and plans to uncover entrepreneurs with excellent items and to support the overall start-up process from start-up education to item verification, development, investment linkage and commercialization.

This year, 45 candidates will be recruited from preliminary founders and founders within 3 years from Jun-13th to the July-10th. Kwon Soon-mok, the leader of the project, said, "We hope that this project will link up the related organizations and programs in the region to make the start-up business in all areas such as the shipbuilding offshore plant, environment marine, fisheries, logistics and distribution.
