Pukyong National University's LINC+ Business team (Leader Seo Yong-cheol) and Japan Kyushu Regional Business Association (KAIE, President Akinori Kobayakawa) held a ceremony to complete the 'Wide-Bridge Overseas Internship' program at KAIE.

The program, which has been held for three years since 2018, is designed to provide the opportunity for the Pukyong National University's LINC+ Business team and KAIE to provide Pukyong students with opportunities to experience and enter Japanese companies, and to provide Japanese companies with the opportunity to recruit Korean talent. .

This program was conducted by selecting outstanding students from various industry-university cooperation and education programs conducted by Pukyong National University and selecting students to practice at KAIE companies related to their majors.

This year, 15 students selected from Pukyong LINC+ Business team and the Innovation Center for Engineering Education (ICEE) participated and joined on-the-job training at 13 companies from KAIE for 4 weeks from January 6th.

This program supports students to develop practical skills through on-the-job training at Japanese companies. It is also popular with students because it provides training on Japanese language, culture, and job attitudes over 10 weeks prior to practicing.

Indeed, in 2018, a student who participated in the program passed an open recruitment exam for the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Fukuoka, Japan.

Seo Yong-cheol, head of LINC+ Business team at Pukyong National University, said, "Japanese companies gave a very good assessment of the qualities and attitudes of Pukyong university students who participated in the field training program. I hope that students will be able to become global talents through this program."

Meanwhile, Pukyong National University's LINC+ Business team and Innovation Center for Engineering Education (ICEE) signed an agreement with KAIE in 2017 to collaborate on student training and have been carrying out programs such as overseas internship and short-term working experiences with foreign companies. <Pukyong Today>
