PKNU recruits training participants for 'Eco-Start-ups' with Busan Green Environment Center
Online entrepreneurship education and mentoring program ... Applications by 5, Oct.

Pukyong National University's Busan Green Environment Center (Center chief Jeong Yong-hyeon) is attracting public attention for opening an educational program to support entrepreneurship in the environment field.

The Busan Green Environment Support Center announced on 22, September that it has prepared an online start-up education and mentoring program 'Green up!', and recruit participants by 5, October.

All residents of Busan City over the age of 20 with an idea to start a business in the field of ecology, environment, and eco-friendly technology and services, you can apply. The participation fee is completely free.

This program, which is conducted by un-tact online method, consists of two courses, 'Basic Start-up Training' and 'Basic Start-up Training and Environmental Start-up Mentoring'.

The 'Basic Start-up Training' course is for 50 trainees from 19~30, Oct by combining start-ups and the environment to provide environment-related prospects, selection of environmental start-up items, analysis of start-up capabilities, entrepreneurship, and practical on-site training.

The 'Basic Start-up Training and Environmental Start-up Mentoring' course provides opportunities to receive start-up training to the selected 5 teams from October to November, as well as the production of prototypes, and entrepreneurship know-how from mentors such as environmental start-up seniors and consultants. In addition, it also pays a start-up support fund of around 2 million won per team.

The center chief Jeong Yong-hyeon said, "We hope that this program will provide practically necessary start-up education to young people who think about the environment and the future, and the voices of start-up students will be reflected in government policies."

The Busan Green Environment Center has designated PKNU by being choose by the Ministry of Environment in 2005, and operated by forming a consortium of industry, academia, government, public, and research institutes with Pukyong National University as the leading institution.
