Pukyong National University student passed the 2020 customs officer examination

A student at Pukyong National University received the honor of being the second-top scorer in the 2020 customs officer examination.

Ha Hyeon-Joon, a student at the Division of International Commerce of Pukyong National University (4th grader, entered in 2012), was named as a second-top scorer on the list of candidates who passed 2nd Examination of the 37th Customs Broker 2020 announced by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea on the 9th, December.
 
In this year's customs examination, 1,913 people took the first exam and 451 people passed it, and in the second exam, 935 people, including holdovers, took the test and 149 people passed the final exam.

A customs broker is a professional who is in charge of customs clearance procedures in import and export business and performs administrative litigation under the Customs Act on behalf of the freight owner or the person liable for customs duties.

Ha Hyeon-joon said, "Unlike the first test, in preparation for the second test which is write-out answer format, I tried to memorize by expanding keywords related to the subject and practiced by writing and repeating the memorized things in writing. Especially, in my opinion, I felt that consistency is especially important, so I think I got good results by regularly studying, eating, and resting."

"As a customs broker must work on the import and export front, I want to become a recognized customs officer by striving to gain a lot of practical experience in trade and customs related work," he showed his ambition.
