PKNU won 'Grand Prize' at the University Students' Mock Assembly Contest 2021

△ Pukyong National University's department of Political Science & Diplomacy students are taking a commemorative photo right after receiving the award.

The student team (Advisory Prof. Kim Joo-Hee) of the Department of Political Science & Diplomacy at Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) won the grand prize at the 'University Students' Mock Assembly Contest 2021'.

23 students including Kim Ye-Rim (2nd year) from Pukyong National University's Department of Political Science and International Relations recently won the grand prize in the team category in the contest held in the conference room of the Busan Metropolitan Council hosted by the Busan Metropolitan City Council and sponsored by the 21st Century Political Science Association.

The mock assembly contest is a contest in which college students from political science departments in Busan area take on the roles of city councilors and heads of departments to discuss local issues and seek solutions in the form of a national assembly standing committee to develop local self-governing and to encourage mass participation in the national assembly.

The student team of Pukyong National University participated in the agenda of 'Suggestions and improvements for the successful project promotion of the Busan Marine Tourism Cable way', and the team received the most praise from the judges for providing a differentiated awareness of the problem and realistic alternatives.

Particularly, Pukyong National University's student Kim Ye-Rim of the Department of Political Science and Diplomacy received the grand prize, Yeo Soo-Bin (3rd year) received the excellence prize, and Jeong Seong-Hoon (2nd year) received the participation award, these Pukyong students were recognized for their outstanding competence in the individual category as well as in the group category.

Pukyong National University continues to yield good results after winning the grand prize in 2017 and 2018 in the same competition. <Pukyong Today>
