7 national universities including PKNU made a pact to create an ecosystem for 'sharing · collaborating'

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced on February 17 that the university had signed a 'sharing and collaborating ecosystem agreement' and a 'equipment sharing platform agreement' to revitalize the sharing and collaborating-based industry-academic cooperation ecosystem with Kunsan National University, Kumoh National Institute of Technology, Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Changwon National University, Korea National University of Transportation, Hanbat National University.


The 7 universities of the Industry-University Cooperative Belt (K7U) council group, which are state-centric national universities, including Pukyong National University, held an agreement ceremony in the afternoon of the afternoon in the conference room on the second floor of Changwon National University with Park Geun, head of the industry-academic cooperative team at Seoul National University of Science and Technology, Choi Byoung-Wook, President of Hanbat National University, Park Joon-Hoon, President of Korea National University of Transportation, President Lee Ho-Young from Changwon National University, President Jang Young-Soo from Pukyong National University, Kwak Ho-Sang from Kumoh National Institute of Technology, and Kim Hyeong-Joo, Director of Industry-Academic Cooperative Team of Kunsan National University, with presence of President Jang Young-Soo from Pukyong National University.

Through the agreement signed this time, the seven universities decided to establish an equipment sharing platform for industry-university-research cooperation for the sharing use of each university's research facilities and equipment, and to cooperate with each other to build a nationwide sharing and collaborating ecosystem beyond regional boundaries.

    

Specifically, the universities decided to cooperate to establish a sustainable value-creating industry-academic-research cooperation ecosystem to build a sharing and collaborating ecosystem, to nurture creative convergence talents tailored to the industry, and to jointly operate programs for industrial innovation in specialized fields. Meanwhile, to build an equipment sharing platform, the univesities plan to utilize information possessed by research and educational facilities and equipment, actively utilize human and physical infrastructure such as shared equipment and manpower information, and actively cooperate in plans for continuous use of the equipment sharing platform.

    

Universities participating in the agreement founded the 'National University Industry-University Cooperative Belt (K7U)', a joint university innovation system, in 2016 to overcome regional limitations, and developed joint curriculum and teaching materials, research and use of educational facilities and equipment, etc. sharing and collaboration. And in 2020, they established the 'K7U Patent Asset Management System', an industry-university-research platform, and are using it in conjunction with universities.
