PKNU student won the ‘best prize’ at the car supplies contest hosted by Hyundai mobis

‘A module kit that transforms into a car seat or car mat for pets’

The idea of ‘pet module kit carrier’ by Lee Bo-Min and Koh Min-Joo (advisory prof. Cho Jung-Hyoung), who are 4th graders studying industrial design at Pukyong National University, won the best prize at the car supplies contest hosted by Hyundai mobis 2022.

This contest was for car supplies that fit various automobile cultures, and Pukyong National University students were recognized for their most outstanding works among university students (incl. graduates) and the public and received a certificate of award and 3 million won cash prize.

Pukyong National University students' award-winning works are multi-purpose module kits that can be used as a car seat for one seat depending on how they are folded or installed as a car mat for two seats in the back row.

This work, which can be used as a car seat or car mat and can be easily handled by attaching a handle outdoor, Pukyong National University students designed the module kit focused on the need for various and convenient car accessories when moving with companion animals by car due to the rapid growth of the recent pet market.

As a result of sampling and evaluation, this work was recognized for its practicality as well as its superiority in convenience and design compared to commercial products.

Pukyong National University students expected that the use of this module kit would enable a safe and comfortable ride, and at the same time allow for convenient use as it can be modified according to the situation, and ultimately, it will also reduce the stress on pets from riding.
