PKNU selected as 'representative performance in humanities and social sciences', a project supported by the Ministry of education
- excellent performance achieved in the 2023 Ministry of education academic and research support project, received award from Minister of education

Pukyong National University humanity korea plus (HK+) business team (director Kim Chang-Kyeong)’s 'the Marine humanities series' project was selected as an excellent performance of the Ministry of education’s academic and research support project and a representative performance in the field of humanities and social sciences this year.
Pukyong National University HK+ business team received both deputy Prime and minister's education's award at the '50 best awards ceremony for Ministry of education academic and research support project 2023' held at the Koreana hotel in Seoul on December 8th, at which this project was selected as an excellent achievement and a representative achievement in the field of humanities and social sciences.
The business team has been publishing the Marine humanities series since 2017 under the theme of 'research on the dynamics of northeast asian waters and humanities networks', and they published a total of four volumes including a research series of 『northeast asian seas and war: refugees, leaflets, and naval battles』, a translated series of 『fall of the Qing dynasty and merchants from the west: Ewha corporation』, a data series 『picture of drifting to the Qing dynasty』 and the citizen lecture series of the 『objects that crossed the seaⅠ』 .
These series have expanded the influence of northeast asian humanities in domestic and international academia by covering a variety of formats, materials, and subjects, and have been recognized for their excellence, including being selected as excellent books by the National academy of sciences republic of Korea.
The business team was highly respected for its continued efforts to spread research results to the local community, such as using these business results to foster talent by opening university courses, operating citizen lectures, and even holding exhibitions.
While driving creative knowledge creation and supporting academic and research support projects to create a balanced academic ecosystem, the Ministry of education received 179 candidate projects through recommendation of 13,600 projects and finally selected 50 excellent works through comprehensive evaluation. <Pukyong Today>
