Pukyong National University alumnus and representative of Cheongyang industries, Mr. Lee Seong-Gyun, has generously donated 100 million won to his alma mater in celebration of its centennial founding.

On the morning of April 16th, Lee Seong-Gyun, from the class of '75 in the department of institutional engineering (currently Mechanical systems engineering) at Pukyong National University, visited the office of President Jang Young-Soo on the 3rd floor of the administration building and handed over a development fund to President Jang Young-Soo, in support of the advancement of their alma mater.

Lee Seong-Gyun, an alumnus of Pukyong National University, said, "I have always wanted to participate in the development of my alma mater while keeping eyes out for growth," he added, "I am pleased to contribute to the donation, especially as we celebrate the significant milestone of the centennial founding of our university this year."

Mr. Lee currently serves as the vice president of the Alumni association of Pukyong National University, dedicating his efforts to supporting his alma mater and collecting private funds over the years, including long-term deposits, and contributed the development fund on this occasion.

He said, "I have been supported by my fellow alumni, both during my time at the university and throughout my life. I hope this donation can bring meaningful assistance to someone and be used to create even more positive connections."

He expressed, "I wholeheartedly send my sincere support and encouragement to the students studying at my alma mater, hoping they will pursue their chosen fields with passion and pride, doing their best."

In line with his donation, Pukyong National University, in celebration of its centennial founding, has been holding support projects for university development, including 'New-Turn 100 fundraising' campaign and small-scale donation drives. Recently, following former presidents Kang Nam-Joo's donation of 100 million won and Jang Sun-Deok's donation of 120 million won, donations to the development fund have continued, with President Jang Young-Soo donating 100 million won last month, and Seo Young-Ok, ceo of Fine technology, contributing another 100 million won. <Pukyong Today>
