Pukyong National University Opens 'TechMaster' Office to Support Corporate Technology Issues
- Actively Responding to Busan-Style RISE, Plaque Ceremony Held on 26th
Pukyong National University (President: Bae Sang-hoon) held a plaque ceremony for the ‘Corporate Support Group TechMaster Office’ on the second floor of Yongdang 2 Building at Yongdang Campus on February 26.
The TechMaster of the Corporate Support Group is a consulting task force that Pukyong National University will operate to support local companies in solving their technical challenges. It will be composed of retired professors, executives from large companies, and researchers with extensive research and development know-how and industrial experience.
As the university prepares for the full-scale implementation of the Busan-style RISE project aimed at regional and university joint growth this year, this office has been established to build a practical collaboration and support system for local businesses.
In the first year of the TechMaster program, Pukyong National University plans to form a talent pool of about 10 members and support the resolution of over 20 technical challenges faced by local businesses. The university intends to expand the talent pool, and the number of cases addressed every year.
Pukyong National University expects the operation of the TechMaster program to have a significant impact, especially since the Yongdang Campus, the largest industry-university-research cooperation specialized campus in the southeastern region, has been selected for the government’s Campus Innovation Park project and is being developed into a smart industrial complex. Currently, over 170 companies and research institutes are located at this campus, and in connection with the RISE project, an additional 150 institutions are expected to join in the future.
Pukyong National University plans to operate the TechMaster program in line with the full-scale launch of the Busan-type RISE project, starting with the plaque ceremony. The university will proceed with the formation of the talent pool and administrative processes at this office.
Pukyong National University President Bae Sang-hoon stated, "We will continue to support and collaborate with businesses that will drive the future growth of the region, working towards the mutual development of the region and the university." <Pukyong Today>
