Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) signed an MOU with the university of Pattimura (president Rector Marthinus J. Saptenno) on September 29 in the president's office at the administration building of Pukyong National University.

The two universities signed an MOU this morning and decided to cooperate with each other in exchanges of faculty and administrative staff, exchange of graduate and undergraduate students, joint education program development, joint research, exchange of academic information and publications, and holding of academic conferences, seminars, and symposiums.

Through this MOU, Pukyong National University, which has a specialized college in the fishery science, and the university of Pattimura, which is in Ambon Island, Indonesia, and is strong in the fishery science field, will expand exchanges for the academic and industrial development of fisheries science between the two countries.

To expand exchanges, Pukyong National University held an event to provide a fishery cooperation workshop and consulting on the distribution of fishery products for the president of the university of Pattimura and his party, followed by the MOU signing ceremony on that day.

Next, Pukyong National University also conducted on-site guidance for president and his party from the university of Pattimura such as a visit to the Suhyup logistics center at Gamcheon port in Busan, 3S seafood frozen warehouse, and the feed research center at Gyeongbuk national institute of fisheries science.

Pukyong National University has been attracting dozens of international students from Indonesia every year, and starting with this MOU, it plans to actively promote exchanges with other universities in Indonesia. <Pukyong Today>
