The digital smart Busan academy project team at PKNU ranked '1st' in assessment

- the assessment for the performance and business plan on the first stage of the SW experts training project

 

Pukyong National University digital smart Busan academy (director Noh Maeng-Seok) recently announced that they ranked first in the assessment for the first and the next stage business plan of the SW experts training project by the institute of information & communication technology planning & evaluation under the Ministry of science and ICT.

 

This business group ranked first in the network-type campus SW academy division in this evaluation, which determines whether to continue support and adjust the budget for a total of eight consortia selected in 2022. Through the evaluation received this time, the project group received a 5% increase in the project budget for the next stage and will continue to carry out the project until the end of 2025.

 

The evaluation was conducted based on criteria such as reviewing the performance of the consortia's business plans, evaluation of presentations, design and operation of the curriculum, selection and management of trainees, and employment performance.

 

The Digital smart Busan academy is hosted by Pukyong National University and is a consortium of 12 institutions including Dong-a university, Dong-eui university, and Shinsegae I&C, forming a business group to train experts in the ICT field suitable for the needs of major regional industries starting from 2022.

 

The project team conducted the project for two years and produced about 180 graduates, recorded a high employment rate centered on excellent companies and public institutions in the region by expanding cooperation with relevant local organizations, including Busan metropolitan city, the Ministry of employment and labor, the Korea technology finance corporation, and the statistics southeast Korea.

 

Noh Maeng-Seok, director of the business team said, "I believe that the achievement of ranking first in the stage assessment is the result of the joint efforts of the universities and companies participating in the consortium.
