PKNU entrance ceremony was held in Gymnasium in Daeyeon Campus on March 2nd at 10 A.M.

PKNU, which president is Park Maeng Eon, held 2011 entrance ceremony in Gymnasium in Daeyeon Campus on March 2nd at 10 A.M.

785 freshmen of Humanities and Social Sciences, 304 freshmen of Natural Sciences, 304 freshmen of Business Administration, 1,626 freshmen of Engineering, 397 freshmen of Fisheries Sciences, and 368 freshmen of Environmental and Marine Sciences and Technology entered PKNU. Therefore, the total number of the freshmen is 3,790.

PKNU provided the scholarship certificate for Nam Ha Na who was entering PKNU as the head of her region. This scholarship certificate means that she will be exempted of the tuition fee of all semesters. Moreover, she got scholarships worth 1.5 million won that day. Also, she is going to get one million won every semester.

Besides, Ko Kyeong Jin, who is a student of Division of Japanese Language and Literature, Yoo Seon Woo, who is a student of Department of Ocean Engineering, Kim Seong Jun, who is a student of Department of Fisheries Education, Kim Jong Woo, who is a student of Department of Naval Architecture and Marine Systems Engineering, Jin Eun Jeong, who is a student of Department of Marine Bio-Materials and Aquaculture, were given the scholarship certificates because they entered PKNU at the top of their colleges. It also means that they will be exempted of the tuition fee of all semesters. Furthermore, they will be offered scholarships worth one million won. Also, they will be given half a million won every semester.

Meanwhile, Choe Ha Eun, who is a student of Department of English Language and Literature, Kwon So Ra, who is a student of Division of Business Administration, Heo Jin Hee, who is a student of Major of Political Science and Diplomacy, Bae Yae Moon who is a student of Division of international commerce, Kim Seong Mok and Han Hyeong Min who are students of Department of Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineering, Kim Chan Ho, who is a student of Department of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering, Yuk Jae Seung, who is a student of Department of Electrical Engineering, and Seo Suk Kyeong, who is a student of Department of nursing, were selected as Pukyong global person screening scholarship students and Pukyong green person screening scholarship students. As the following mentioned students, they were given the scholarship certificates. It also means that they will be exempted of the tuition fee of all semesters.

Park Maeng Eon, the president of PKNU, said to freshmen. “Self-reliance and self-respect are really needed for campus life.” Also, “I hope all of you to be university students who can research everything personally and realize ideals.” he adds. <Pukyong Today>
