Pukyong National University holds a sea photo contest with a total prize money of 4 million won.

The Pukyong National Humanities Korea Plus (HK+) Business team (Leader Son Dong-joo) announced on February 18 that the university will hold ’The 3rd Pukyong National University Photo Contest of the Seas’ by March 17.

The contest held under the theme of ’Capture the sea! Capture fishing villages’ is a contest by Pukyong National University, located in the marine city of Busan, to publicize photos of moments of life, memories, and romance in harmony with the sea to inform citizens of the importance of the sea.

Participants must be high school students, university students, and the general public, and entries must be photographs related to sea areas such as sea, harbors, mud flats, fishing villages, haenyeo (female divers in a Korean word), and ships.

Photographing equipment is not limited to general cameras or smartphones, and photos taken after 2018 cannot be entered.

Only a maximum of 2 entries can be submitted per person, you can submit them to the HK+ Business team via email (hkplus@pknu.ac.kr) by March 17th at 6 pm. The announcement of winner is scheduled for the 3rd week of April.

The entries will be judged synthetically on the subject comprehension, workability, creativity, interest and technicality, and the prize will be awarded a total of 4 million won, including the university president’s prize and the 500,000 won gift voucher.
