PKNU, selected for a project 'Development of Professional Manpower for Convergence Technology Commercialization' by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (MOTIE) This project aims to support companies to lead innovation growth and commercialize convergence technology by training experts in industrial sites who will lead the commercialization of convergence technology in the 4th industrial revolution era. Pukyong National University's Graduate School of Management of Technology will receive approximately 2.75 billion won, including 2.5 billion won in government expense and 250 million won in city expense, from this year's selection. The Graduate School of Management of Technology at Pukyong National University, plans to develop specialized education programs by utilizing convergence technology commercialization capabilities and infrastructure accumulated through technology management education and research over the past 10 years, and to train more than 100 master's and doctoral experts in establishment. Accordingly, △ operation of on-site problem-solution training courses aimed at commercialization of convergence technology △ support for commercialization of local companies using convergence technology and industrial innovation in the Southeast of Korea △ promote networks of innovative organizations in the Southeastern region and expand the base of commercialization. The participants in business including Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Science & Technology Information Service (BISTEP), Busan Techno Park, Korea Technology Finance Corporation (KIBO), Korea Marine Equipment Research Institute (KOMERI), Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency (BIPA), Busan Venture Business Association (BUVA), Pusan Information and Technology Partners Association (PIPA), support corporate problem solving, technology commercialization, and field training. Ock Young-seok, the Director of Graduate School of Management of Technology at Pukyong National University, said, "With this project, we will provide convergent technology based human resources to local companies to enhance the capabilities and achievements of industry-university cooperation research and development, and to contribute to the development of regional based projects and to reinvigorate the local economy." Meanwhile, the Graduate School of Management of Technology at Pukyong National University has been nurturing technical management experts for 10 years, starting with the operation of the Technology Management Collaboration Course in the Division of Systems Management and Engineering since 2011. <Pukyong Today> |
