PKNU, "Let's share the excellent performances in university innovation." On March 26, Pukyong National University (President Kim Young-seup) published <The collection book of Excellence performances in University Innovation> to share the excellent achievements made for university innovation with other universities. This book is a selection of 7 programs that achieved outstanding results among over 30 programs promoted under the Ministry of Education as a university innovation support project last year by Pukyong National University. Initially, Pukyong National University planned to hold a performance forum to share outstanding performances, but with the spread of COVID 19, it canceled the event and published the performance collection book in the form of e-books and printed books to share on and offline. Among the excellent achievements in this book, the 'Student Evaluation Group' is a program for students to directly evaluate the school's curriculum. It was recognized for its good performance in that it actively reflected students' opinions on the curriculum organization and school operation. The 'Student Evaluation Group', composed of 20 students selected from each college, directly assessed the curriculum, including majors, liberal arts, and comparative departments, and submitted a report of activity results. The contents of these reports are reflected in actual curriculum organization and school management. Another excellent achievement, 'Didimdol-Up (Step-stone up)', is a program in which senior graduates who have succeeded in employment are mentoring for juniors. Mentors who are active in the field provide customized help to students who want to find employment in a specific field, and have made it possible to connect them to actual employment. In addition, cases such as the establishment of the Executive Office of Future-Ready Education, a department dedicated to educational innovation, and the development of core competency diagnostic tools for professionally diagnosing the necessary skills for students, were also included in the book. "We plan to release this data online such as the homepage, and we are planning to introduce data sharing and utilization methods to universities across the country. We hope that the data on this excellent performance will help strengthen the specialization capabilities of each university to develop talented people and lead community development." said Jeong Geun-joo, Pukyong National University's Planning Commissioner. <Pukyong Today> |
