PKNU, selected as a project to support the fostering experts in science and technology policy by the Ministry of Science and ICT On the 4th of June, Human Resources Development Support Project Group for Science and Technology Policy of Pukyong National University (Ock Young-seok, the Leader) has announced that it has been selected as the stage 2 of the Ministry of Science and ICT's 'The Support Project for Human Resources Development of Science and Technology Policy' This project is to support the operation of a master's and doctorate degree program to systematically educate science and technology policy to develop experts in science and technology policy. Human Resources Development Support Project Group for Science and Technology Policy of Pukyong National University has been recognized for its achievements in nurturing science and technology policy experts by opening the Graduate School of Science and Technology Policy since 2017, which was selected as the first phase project in 2016. As selected for this project, Pukyong National University will foster more than 30 master's and doctoral expert by actively utilizing regional innovation and science and technology policy capabilities and infrastructure accumulated through technology innovation education and policy research over the past 3 years, and developing specialized education programs with support of 700 million won in government fund until 2023. In accordance with this, △it operates regional customized training courses that combine practice and theory, and △focuses on reviving science and technology in Southeastern regions, △industrial innovation, promoting networks of innovative organizations in the Southeast region, and expanding commercialization. Scholarships are provided to graduate students in the Department of Science and Technology Policy, as well as expenses for conference presentations, seminars, and education. Ock Young-seok, leader of the Human Resources Development Support Project Group for Science and Technology Policy at Pukyong National University, said, "Through this project, we will provide convergence technology-based human resources with capabilities for national science and technology policy to companies in the Southeastern region to enhance their R&D capabilities and achievements, and also contribute to the development of regional-based projects and vitalization of the local economy." <Pukyong Today> |
