The National Assembly forum was held to establish the College of Medical Radiology The forum hosted by Jeong Dong-mahn, who is one of the National Assemblyman in the United Future Party (Gijang, Busan) and conducted by Pukyong National University, was held to urge the government to establish a cancer treatment hub linked to a 1,487,603m2 of Southerneast Area Radiology Medical & Science Industrial Complex (hereinafter referred to as the Medical Science Complex) in Jangan-eup, Gijang-gun, and to establish a Radiology Medical College to establish a public medical base in the southern part of the East Sea. In the Medical Science Complex in Gijang-gun, Busan, a budget of 1.1 trillion won has started to be invested in a total of 5 facilities including Medical Heavy lon Accelerator, and is expected to be the largest radiation technology science complex in Northeast Asia. In response, Jeong Dong-mahn recognized that it is important to cultivate experts in radiology medical and science to achieve results by utilizing the infrastructure applied with advanced radiation technology, and arranged a forum for the establishment of the Medical Radiology College of Pukyong National University. The first presentation of the forum on this day was conducted by Choi Cheol-won, the section chief of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Dongnam Institute of Radiological & Medical Sciences (DIRAMS), under the theme of 'Cultivation of Specialists in Radiology and Medical Sciences, and the College of Medical Radiology'. Secondly, ▷Professor Son Dong-Woon of the Pukyong National University Industry-University Cooperation Foundation presented the topic of 'Necessity of Medical Radiology College Science in the Southerneast Area Radiology Medical & Science Industrial Complex'. Professor Jeong Hyeong-seon from the Department of Health and Public Administration at Yonsei University took the top of the table. Panelists including Dr. Kim Hyeon-sook from Healthcare Resource Policy Division at Ministry of Health and Welfare Control (MOHW), Nam Jeong-eun, manager of Clean Energy Industry Division of Busan, Professor Chae Jong-seo from Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at Sungkyunkwan University, and Shin Seong-sik, an editorial writer for the JoongAng Ilbo and a welfare journalist, have exchanged in-depth opinions on the need to nurture experts in radiology medical and science. Jeong Dong-mahn said, "For the success of the Radiology Medical & Science Industrial Complex, it is necessary to nurture medical and scientific talents who can achieve results by utilizing the infrastructure applied with advanced radiation technology," and he added, "The Radiology Medical College should be promptly attracted to Gijang-gun, Busan, where the Southerneast Area Radiology Medical & Science Industrial Complex is being built." <Pukyong Today> |
