The club ’D.O.S’ won the Self DIY Car Competition for University Students, ’KSAE Baja & Formula’ The KSAE university student self DIY car competition held by the Korean Society of Automotive Engineers (KSAE) and the Korea Automobile Manufacturers Association (KAMA) is the largest self-building car competition in Korea. 117 teams from universities nationwide participated in the 14th competition of this year. The Pukyong National University D.O.S team participated in the Baja section, where they competed on off-roads, and won the Comprehensive Performance Encouragement Award through competitions such as design, production, and racing. The D.O.S team directly built, designed, and welded the ’nova’, a vehicle for off-road driving (also known as a ’buggy car’), and achieved this achievement by reducing the weight of the vehicle body. Kwon Dae-yong (3rd grade, Dept. of Mechanical Design Engineering), the D.O.S leader said, "It seems that we have achieved good results with the support of our graduates and the enthusiasm of our advisory professor and team members. we will try to make good results by participating in the remaining electric car competitions this year." Pukyong National University club D.O.S, which has been in its 25th year, has been making outstanding achievements in competitions related to self-designing cars, also won the Encouragement Award in the same competition last year.
