Upcoming noteworthy 'On-tact' Job Fair at PKNU

Pukyong National University has decided to open an online job fair for job seekers who have difficulty finding employment due to COVID-19 and is attracting public attention.

The Job Center and Human Resources Development Institute of Pukyong National University's LINC Plus (LINC+) Business Team (Seo Yong-cheol, leader) announced that they will hold the 'On-tact Career and Job Fair' in real-time online video system.

Compared to the event that Pukyong National University had held last year at the Daeyeon Campus Grass Square, more than 1,000 students participated, however it became difficult to hold the event in the field due to the COVID-19 this year, and the way it is held changed.

Pukyong National University plans to create a separate website for the fair and provide online booths for participating companies and organizations within the website to provide mentoring and information to students in real-time.

About 40 companies and organizations in each field, including Korea Ocean Business  Corporation (KOBC), Korea Railroad (KORAIL), SK Hynix, Hyundai, Kia Motors, Dongwon Systems, and Busan Technopark, will participate in this On-tact Job fair to provide direct online consultation.

Students who wish to participate in the fair can register in advance by 29, Sep., and can access the online booth through a computer at the application time on the day of the event.

Counseling will be conducted every 30 minutes from 10 to 5 pm for each booth. 3 people can access and participate each time. In the case of crowded applicants every hour, up to 7 people with additional observers including 3 interrogators are allowed to access simultaneously.

Related organizations such as LINC+ Business Team and WISET Business Team at Pukyong National University, Korea Employment Information Service, and Busan's Overseas Job offering Company also plan to set up online booths and provide mentoring, special lectures, and briefing programs.

Seo Yong-cheol, the leader of Pukyong National University's LINC Plus (LINC+) Business Team, said, "Through this job fair, I hope that those who are preparing for employment will get job know-how and information from the practicing seniors who have succeeded in finding employment and overcome the tougher employment environment."
