The eye-catching project, Pukyong National University's 'Busan, Fall into the Ocean of Humanities' Including the HK+ Business team of Pukyong National University, 21 universities, research institutes, and humanities organizations participate and sponsored by Busan City, the Busan Cultural Foundation (BSCF), and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF), the project has been designed to provide a variety of humanities programs to local citizens. The project, which has been started on the 21st of last month, will be progressing through 53 programs until 15, December. Due to COVID-19, each program has been conducted with only a few people, and 80 citizens have participated so far. 'Walk through History of Busan along the Subway' of the project is a history experiencing humanities program to learn about the modern and contemporary history of Busan centering around the subway. 'Walk through the historical traces of Dongnae (Suan Station)' on the 23rd of last month and 'Walk around beaches and nature, the history of fisheries of Busan (Osyria Station)' was held on the 7, October. 'Walk through Gupo Japanese ramparts and Gamdong warehouse' (Deokcheon Station), 'Walk through the Great East Asian War and the Fortification of Japan (Kyungsung University and Pukyong National University Station)', and 'Exploring Holy Land of Religion and Walking the Hoedong catchment area (Dusil Station)' are scheduled. In the 'Humanities with senior citizen' program, a 'Corona Blue from a Psychiatric Analyst's View' lecture was held on the 15th for local seniors. On the coming 28th, ‘Elders learn YouTube and algorithms’, on the 4th of next month, ‘Elders, would you like to play a game together?’ are continued. Along with this, 'Busan Humanities Talk' to explore a new way of life in response to COVID-19, 'Marine Humanities' to meet sea experts such as Busan's history and sliced raw fish, ships, and fishing villages, and programs such as the 'Busan Humanities Forum', which share issues on humanities learning, are also receiving favorable responses.
