"Hope to be even little help to the youth"
Seo Young-ok, CEO of Fine Technology, donated 10 million won to PKNU

Seo Young-ok (age 65) CEO of Fine Technology Co., Ltd, gave 10 million won willingly to her alma mater, Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-soo).

On the morning of the 1, December, Ms. Seo visited the office of the president on the 3rd floor of the campus operations at Pukyong National University and delivered 10 million won to President Jang Young-soo for university development.

She mentioned, "Although everyone is in a difficult situation due to COVID-19, I wanted to give some strength to young people who are suffering from various difficulties such as employment, so I decided to donate."

Ms. Seo, enrolled in 1975 at the Department of Chemical Engineering at Pukyong National University, and was elected as the first female alumni president of the University in 2015 and served as the 10th President of Pukyong National University Alumni Association.

Especially, since she donated 100 million won to Pukyong National University in 2016, she has donated 10 million won each year to her alma mater, and so far has provided 140 million won for her juniors.

She founded the company in 1987 and jumped into corporate management, and then established current Fine Technology in 1998, she discovered the industrial special tape market, winning the award called 'Export tower of 10 million dollars', now she is leading the development of this field with world-class technology.

She said at a development fund delivery ceremony on this day, "No matter how difficult times the youth are going through, I want them to strengthen themselves, thinking that if they hold on positively and firmly, it will eventually pass. There is no shortcut in life, so don't try to do well in a hurry, but once you run into it and experience various things, I hope that youth will go forward little by little."

Pukyong National University plans to use the funding for development by CEO Seo to support education and research for university development, and to improve the educational environment. <Pukyong Today>
