11 PKNU students have been selected for the MoE's Support Project for PhD level researchers

- Support for creative and challenging research, etc… a subsidy of 20~70 million won for each per year

11 researchers from Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) have been selected for the Ministry of Education's support project for doctoral level researchers, which selects and supports excellent young researchers.

    

According to the recent announcement by the Ministry of Education regarding the selection of science and engineering academic research support project of 2021 year, 8 people in the 'Creative & Challenging Research Support' sector, 2 people in the 'Post-doctoral Overseas Training' sector, and 1 person in the 'Grants for the encouragement of research for doctoral students' sector, a total of 11 researchers from Pukyong National University have been selected.

    

This project of the Ministry of Education is to provide customized support for young researchers with the most capacity for research to grow into talents with independent research capabilities in order to expand the basis of basic research.

    

In the sector of 'Creative & Challenging Research Support' to support the improvement of research capabilities of Pukyong National University's researchers including Choi Won-Ei (Geo-Sciences Institute), Jang Won-Je (Institute of Marine Life Science), Seo Yong-Bae (Research Institute for Basic Sciences), and Shin In-Soo (The Research Institute for Phosphor Bank), Seo Yeon-Woo (The Research Institute for Phosphor Bank), Yoon Dae-Ho (Smart Infrastructure Technology Research Center), Oh Gun-Woo (Research Center for Marine Integrated Bionics Technology), Heo Seong-Young (Research Center for Marine Integrated Bionics Technology), these 8 researchers and research professors have been selected and will receive up to 70 million won a year for 1 to 3 years.

    

In the 'Post-Doctoral Overseas Training' sector, two people, Choi Mi-Jin (Research Institute for Basic Sciences) and Yang Jeong-In (Department of Aquatic Life Medicine), are selected and will receive support for training activities of 45 million for one year.

    

Along with them, Kim Tae-Hee (Dept. of Industry 4.0 Convergence Bionics Engineering) has been selected for 'Encouragement Grants of research for doctoral students', which provides 20 million won a year for two years for doctoral thesis research by students in a doctoral program. <Pukyong Today>
