PKNU was rated 'Excellent' on an annual valuation for the National University Development Project

- Project cost KRW 4.54 billion … Concentrate all efforts on strengthening the competitiveness of the university

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) received an excellent evaluation in the annual valuation of the National University Promotion Project 2020 by the Ministry of Education (MOE) and the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF).

Through this evaluation, Pukyong National University is eligible to receive a project cost of KRW 4.54 billion, an increase of KRW 1.12 billion compared to last year.

The National University Development Project is a project to strengthen the public role and competitiveness of national universities and to support universities to nurture outstanding local talents and develop balanced regional development.

This project will be conducted as a five-year business from 2018 to 2022, and each university will receive a budget that combines the continuous project cost according to the formula that reflects the size of the university and the differential project cost according to the annual evaluation.

In this annual valuation, Pukyong National University received an excellent evaluation in terms of revitalization of the university cooperation network and performance including its systematically linked university vision, development plan, and main promotion strategy of the development project, and activates the university cooperation network such as the Busan Joint University Innovation Center, the BNU 4 NET joint project, and the operation and improvement of the national university resource management system.
