PKNU, The 'Grand Prize Winner' in TRIZ (Theory of Solving Inventive Problem) Contest 2021

Students from Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) won 1 grand prize, 2 silver medals and 1 bronze medal at the 'TRIZ (Theory of Solving Inventive Problem) National Online Contest' co-hosted by the Ministry of Education, Jeollabuk-do Province, and Jeonju National University.
This competition, which aims to present a creative solution to the problems of companies and society, was conducted in the form of preliminary match by screening document and final presentation targeting the LINC+ (Leaders in Industry-university Cooperation) of universities throughout the country.
Kim Dan (3rd year) and Jeong Young-Soo (3rd year)'s student team from Pukyong National University's Department of Control and Instrumentation Engineering presented 'A solution to the Problems encounters in developing the Pile with extending Wedge Type' in this contest and received the highest evaluation among the participating teams.
They used the TRIZ method to solve problems, brainstorming and case analysis of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, and then applying the screw coupling structure and the dart pin separation structure to propose a solution to the technical and physical contradictions of the Pile with extending Wedge Type, and their inventive ability was recognized.
At the same time, the student team of Lee Yoon-Seung (4th year) and Kim Bodam (4th year) from the Division of Business Administration and the student team of Park Yoo-ju (3rd year) and Park Ha-Young (3rd year) from the Systems Management and Engineering received a silver prize each for their 'Measures to improve the efficiency of sewing work for neoprene fabrics'.
Next, the student teams Park Sang-Joon (3rd year) and Lee Ji-Seung (3rd year) of the Division of Systems Management and Engineering won the bronze prize for 'A bonding method to bond shoes without adhesive'.
Meanwhile, Pukyong National University students who won in this contest worked as corporate innovation fellows of the Pukyong National University LINC+ Project Team (Director Ryu Ji-Yeol) and participated in this national competition through TRIZ training and their own competition, and achieved excellent results. <Pukyong Today>
