Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced on the 6th that the university developed a self online credit management system that allows students to directly manage their academic information, such as their grades, completed courses, and graduation requirements.
This system, developed by Pukyong National University's Division of Academic Affairs, is a system that allows students to check the credits they have completed, the credits they need to complete, information for each major, and graduation requirements online at a glance.
With this system, students can check and take care of it meticulously the completion of compulsory courses as well as check if required courses are changed and guide students to complete the course, check the credits for the subjects for general education that vary depending on the year of admission, and check the credits required to complete a minor or double major, etc.
Pukyong National University developed this system to reduce the hassle of having to check whether students meet the graduation requirements by inquiring with the faculty member in charge.
The goal is to make it possible for students to directly access academic information and to request corrections in case of errors, so that it is possible to switch from unilateral management of existing departments to student-led management.
Through the development of this system, it is possible to preemptively respond to the operation of various academic systems such as the operation of the undergraduate system according to the recent trend of convergence of studies, the establishment of micro-majors, and the operation of the dual degree system with other universities.
Pukyong National University completed the test operation of the credit management system for students from last month to the 3rd, and will officially start operation from January next year.
Pukyong National University expects that the development of this system will enable students to enjoy a stable college life by establishing a systematic course plan, to improve academic work efficiency and to operate a learner-centered curriculum. <Pukyong Today>
