Pukyong National University student won the grand prize at the 'Climate Crisis Response Contest, Busan'

- Park Ga-Hyeon's winning work, 'Dude! This is the level of Carbon Neutral in Busan'

    

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) Park Ga-Hyeon (1st year, in Electrical engineering, Advisory Prof. Ko Young-Jong) won the grand prize of 1 million won prize money in the 'Climate Crisis Response Content Contest for University students, Busan' hosted by Green Investment Group (GIG).

    

The purpose of this contest is to set a future agenda that can contribute to the realization of carbon neutrality and response to the climate crisis in Busan through the fresh ideas of young people who are interested in Busan's climate crisis, and to form and develop social consensus by discovering educational and promotional contents.

    

Park Ga-Hyeon participated in the contest with the theme of 'Busan’s carbon neutrality and eco-friendly energy transition to respond to the climate crisis', the card news content titled ‘Dude! This is the level of Carbon Neutral in Busan’, which received the highest evaluation among the participants.

    

In her work, she gained recognition for her creativity and the level of completion by expressing the various efforts that Busan is promoting for carbon neutrality with a 10-cut card news image written in the Busan dialect.

    

Park said, "I think I got good results because it contained various efforts of Busan, which is striving to reach a carbon-neutral society, such as the world's largest green port construction plan, the construction of a high-tech smart eco-city, and the establishment of a green economy using hydrogen and ammonia."

    

Meanwhile, Pukyong National University’s student team, including Park Ga-Hyeon, who received the first prize in this contest, Yim Yee-Joo, Shin Myeong-Soo, Lee Seong-Hwi, Kim Byeong-Yoon, and Lee Won-Ho, the first graders of the Department of Ecology Engineering won the Excellence Award for their work ‘We put carbon neutrality plan into action'. <Pukyong Today>
