PKNU, selected as the final choice to carry out LINC 3.0

- Selected for a project in the 'Innovative technology leader' category… annual project cost of approx. KR 5.5 billion won for 6 years

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) was finally selected for the project 'Leaders in INdustry-university Cooperation 3.0' by the National research foundation of Korea.

In this project, which selected participating universities by type, Pukyong national university was selected in the 'Innovative technology leader' section and will receive approximately 5.5 billion KR won in annual project expenses for up to six years from this year to 2027.

Pukyong National University was selected for the 'LINC+' in 2017, and was selected for the 3.0 project following 2.0 in 2019. Accordingly, Pukyong National University will nurture future talents in new industries and new technologies to lead technological innovation in industry-university-research cooperation and create future values to contribute to national competitiveness, and to establish an industry-university-research cooperation innovation ecosystem.

The project 'LINC 3.0' is a representative university financial support project that supports university-industry-research cooperation activities, and a total budget of 302.5 billion won is invested this year.

13 universities across the country, including Pukyong National University, were selected for the ‘innovative technology leaders’, which receives 5.5 billion won in support by each university, and 53 universities across the country were selected for the ‘demand-tailored growing leaders’, which receives 4 billion won. In addition, 10 universities were selected as 'cooperative builder', receiving 2 billion won in support.

As selected for this project, Pukyong National University is planning to actively build a global technological innovation-leading university through sharing collaboration between industry-university-research institutes.
