Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) is attracting public attention after expanding interregional cooperation with major universities in the capital area, such as operating a joint curriculum and conducting joint research.

Pukyong National University announced on June 20 that it had signed exchange-related agreements with Korea university, Seoul national university of science and technology, Yonsei university, and Hanyang university from last April until recently.

With the recent major reorganization of the academic organization centering on convergence and academic studies in future high-tech fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), software (SW), and biology (BIO), Pukyong National University is stepping forth to expand exchanges with universities in the capital that are strong in these fields to maximize educational and research outcomes.

Pukyong National University has been partially cooperating with these universities by participating in various government financial support projects or by forming a consultative body to create an industry-academia cooperation ecosystem.

With this agreement, Pukyong National University will expand the seasonal lecture, 'open sharing university for fostering specialists in digital new technology', which is jointly operating with Hanyang university, to other universities and plans to expand cooperation with these universities, including designing and operating a joint curriculum, accrediting credits between schools, exchanging professors and researchers, and jointly promoting national projects.

At the same time, Pukyong National University plans to expand cooperation with universities across the country for joint research and operation of a joint curriculum by signing an agreement with KAIST this coming July.
