Universities, local governments, hospitals, and companies assembled to lead the digital healthcare

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) held the '1st Digital healthcare symposium' on the afternoon of July 21 in the conference room on the second floor of the university headquarters.

 

At this event, which Pukyong National University prepared to foster future advanced medical technology and secure growth momentum for future healthcare, invited lectures, presentations, and discussions were held with the participation of experts from various fields such as universities, local governments, hospitals and companies.

 

Including 'Strategies for digital healthcare R&D and direction for development' presented by director Hwang Seong-Eun from the Korea health industry development institute, 'Strategies for the development of bio-health in Busan' presented by director Shin Chang-Ho of the Busan metropolitan city office of trade, industry and energy, and 'Current status of digital healthcare R&D and future tasks' was presented by director Kim Beop-Min from the Korea medical device development fund.


Next, Professor Park Jin-Se from Haeundae Paik hospital's 'A study on the medical applications of digital healthcare', 'Diagnosis and digital education for medical images based on artificial intelligence' presented by Choi Woo-Sik, CEO of Deepnoid, and 'Lung health care in daily life' presented by Lee In-Pyo, CEO of Breathings' were presented by hospitals and corporate officials.

 

The panel discussion was moderated by Jeon Seon-Gon, CEO of Techbiz lab, Lee Sang-Gon, president of the Korea digital healthcare industry association, Lee Byeong-Il, professor of Human bioconvergence at Pukyong National University, Kim Chang-Seok, center director of Pusan national university sustainable utilization of photovoltaic energy research center (ERC), professor Jeong Young-Jin, director of Dong-A university institute of convergence bio-health, Baek Sang-Kyu, CEO of Haerang, and professor Kim Young-Hoon from the department of marine sports at Pukyong National University participated to discuss the importance of digital healthcare, which will become Korea's major growth engine.

 

Pukyong National University is leading the development of human resources and industrial development in the field of digital health care through the efforts such as operating the 'smart gym-based active senior healthcare intermediation research center', a large-scale project worth 14 billion won as a regional innovation leading research center project of the Ministry of science and ICT, including the 'new senior customized smart healthcare project group', a BK21 project of the Ministry of education.


In addition, Pukyong National University is closely cooperating with Busan city, which is making efforts to promote smart city development and bio-health businesses, to promote strategic growth in the digital health care sector.
