Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced that the university received the highest grade in the 3rd stage evaluation (2022) of the 'project to foster professionals for the expansion of commercialization of convergence technology' hosted by the Ministry of trade, industry and energy and the Korea institute for advancement of technology.
Pukyong National University Graduate of management of technology (director Lee Woon-Sik) is running this project under the supervision of the Graduate school of management of technology, and in this evaluation, which decides whether to continue to support depending on the annual evaluation results, the university was promised not only to continue the project, but also to receive an increased national budget compared to the previous year.
Pukyong National University was recognized for its excellent performance in solving technology commercialization problems of local companies by carrying out various industry-university cooperation projects and holding events such as 'Family business day'.
Pukyong National University Graduate school of management of technology has been providing support business information necessary for the growth of local SMEs and startups and sharing successful cases of promising startups through the operation of its unique industry-university cooperation platform brand, the 'iDRAGON platform' and the 'iDRAGON forum'.
Along with this, Pukyong National University Graduate school of management of technology and the department of management technology at Gyeongsang national university jointly opened and operated co-learning courses in the 2nd semester of 2022, and attracted high praise for attracting the 'Education center for promoting enterprisers and foundation spirit' from Busan city. Especially, the fact that they selected the largest number of people ever in the master's and doctoral course recruitment in the first semester of this year had a great impact on this evaluation.
Director Lee Woon-Sik said, "Based on the experience and evaluation of projects such as the operation of non-degree courses, this year, I will do my best to cooperate with southeast technology management educational institutions such as Gyeongsang national university and UNIST to be expanded to strengthen the ecosystem for commercialization of convergence technology in the southeast region, and foster innovative talents required by the region." <Pukyong Today>
