Developing a snack menu made with seafood associated with movie theaters

- agreed between PKNU, the Korea fisheries assn. and Namyang dairy

Grilled honey butter abalone and fluke balls.

 

Soon, we can find seafood snack menus such as browned honey butter abalone and grilled scallops with butter at movie theaters.

 

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo), the Korea fisheries association (chairperson Jeong Young-Hoon), and Namyang dairy products co., ltd. (representative Kim Seung-Eon) signed a business agreement on the afternoon of October 6th at Megabox in Daejeon to develop seafood snacks associate with movie theaters.

 

This agreement is to cooperate in the development of prototype seafood snacks for movie theaters, which the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries has been promoting as part of its campaign to eat fish until the age of 100 since early this year. They came together to contribute to stimulating people's consumption of seafood and improving public health by developing seafood snacks eatable in movie theaters.

 

Accordingly, Pukyong National University, led by the college of fisheries science, cooperates in product research and development, including quality, nutrition, and hygiene management for seafood snacks in movie theaters, and the Korea fisheries association supplies fresh Korean seafood at reasonable prices through a consumption promotion project. Namyang dairy plans to cooperate with processed seafood producers to develop seafood snacks and promote commercialization and entry into movie theaters.

 

Along with the agreement ceremony on this day, a seafood snack tasting was also provided. Following the four types of fluke balls, flatfish and chips, grilled scallop with butter, and shrimp basket that have been evaluated so far, the tasting event on this day featured honey butter abalone, a newly developed samplings by over 200 members from the Association for culture contents, a movie club, who have participated in menu development evaluated the newly developed grilled honey butter abalone and seaweed chips.

 

These prototypes will be productized after completion of supplementary process according to the evaluation contents and will be officially sold in movie theaters in the future. <Pukyong Today>
