PKNU has opened a 'Core competence library', a student complex cultural space

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) held an opening ceremony for the 'Core competency library' on the first floor of the Academic information center on the morning of October 26.
Pukyong National University library (director Kim Cheol-Soo) held an opening ceremony on this day after completing the Core competence library by expanding a separate building to the Academic information center to expand the student complex cultural space.
The Core competency library was built on the 5th floor with a total floor area of 2,989㎡ with a total project cost of 10 billion won.
In addition to the Academic information center, Pukyong National University has established a core competency library along with the existing central library, creating a student complex cultural space that integrates reading and exhibition rooms.
The most notable feature of the newly opened Core competence library is that it consists of an open learning space and a multi-purpose space tailored to the learning tendencies of recent students.
The 'Gallery lounge', a complex cultural exhibition hall, was built on the first floor, and the ‘Lounge for Leading learning’, where students can focus on learning, was built on the second floor.
On the 3rd and 4th floors, there is a 'Convergence lounge' and 'Creative innovation lounge' that can be used as study rooms and study caf?, and on the 5th floor, there is an 'IT learning lounge' that utilizes IT devices such as computers.
Pukyong National University secured a total of 4,300 seats in reading rooms with a total collection of 1.4 million volumes through the opening of the Core competency library along with the Central library and the Engineering library in Cheongwun center. <Pukyong Today>
