PKNU, 'grade A' in the research support system assessment for 2023

- recognized for efforts to strengthen the research support monitoring system

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) announced that it received grade A in the assessment for research support system in 2023 by the Ministry of science and ICT and the Korea institute of science and technology planning and evaluation.

In this review, which evaluates the research support system across the entire research administration, including the operational capabilities of the research support organization and the improvement of regulations to improve the treatment of researchers, Pukyong National University was recognized as excellent in several areas, including continuous monitoring of research support.

This evaluation, which was conducted this year for 141 universities across the country, including Pukyong National University, is being conducted to strengthen the systematicity and expertise of research support performed by university research and development institutions and to strengthen the foundation for improving research performance.

Pukyong National University focuses on listening to difficulties in the research field and focusing on utilizing and disseminating best practices, centered around the Pukyong National University industry-university cooperation foundation, to increase satisfaction with research support services and strengthen the research support monitoring system.

Pukyong National University is making efforts to increase satisfaction by promoting electronic contracts for central purchasing of research funds, establishing a dedicated window to improve convenience for researchers and stabilizing the research funds management system, supporting new expansion of research support services such as holding academic conferences and expanding support for English language services for theses, providing support for laboratory safety management items, obtaining certification as an excellent safety management laboratory, implementing paperless-based research, and operating R&D smart services. <Pukyong Today>
