PKNU ranked top in the comprehensive integrity index of national and public universities

- the only one among 16 national and public universities to receive a 1st grade

 

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) ranked top in the comprehensive integrity index among 16 public universities in Korea.

 

Pukyong National University is the only one among 16 public universities nationwide to receive a grade 1 in comprehensive integrity in the 'comprehensive integrity index of public medical institutions and national and public universities in 2023' announced by the Anti-corruption and civil rights commission on January 18.

 

Pukyong National University has been recognized for its efforts to spread an integrity culture and commitment to integrity, including receiving a grade 1 in comprehensive integrity in the 2022 index.

 

Pukyong National University received excellent evaluations in all categories, including the perceived level of school integrity, the institution's efforts toward integrity, and the actual state of corruption, in a survey of external relationships and internal members.

 

In terms of integrity efforts, including efforts to establish an anti-corruption promotion system, operational performance, and evaluation of the effectiveness of policy promotion, Pukyong National University received a score nearly 10 points higher than the overall average of national and public universities, and a score higher than the overall average of national and public universities in all evaluation items.

 

Following Pukyong National University, Kyungpook national university, Kongju national university, Ulsan national institute of science and technology, Chonnam national university, and Chungbuk national university received grade 2. Gyeongsang national university, Pusan national university, Incheon national university, Chungnam national university, and Korea advanced institute for science and technology received grade 3, while Seoul national university, Kangwon national university, Gwangju institute of science and technology, Daegu Gyeongbuk institute of science and technology, and Jeonbuk national university received grade 4.

 

As for the Anti-corruption and civil rights commission, it has been measuring the integrity of national and public universities since 2012, and business partners with experience in contract work with national and public universities, as well as lecturers, researchers, teaching assistants, and graduate students, are participating in this index. <Pukyong Today>
