Five PKNU graduates passed the CPA and licensed tax accountant exams

Pukyong National University produced 5 finalists who passed the certified public accountant and licensed tax accountant exams in 2023.

The university listed two names, including Na Byung-Wook (class of '11) and Jang Seong-Hwan (class of '17) from the department of business administration, on the successful applicants list for the 58th certified public accountant examination in 2023.

A certified public accountant is a professional who performs tasks such as accounting audits, preparation of tax adjustment invoices, representation of claims in national tax judgments, management diagnosis and management system improvement, and cost accounting.

4,187 people took the certified public accountant exam, and 1,100 ultimately passed last year.

In addition, Pukyong National University produced three successful finalists in the 60th tax accountant exam in 2023, including Min Jeong-Hwan (class of '10), Park Young-Eun (class of '13), and Kim Min-Cheol (class of '14) from the department of business administration.

6,317 out of 7,562 applicants took the second tax accountant exam, and only 718 finally passed last year.
