Singer Heize (birth name Jang Da-Hye) donated 30 million won to her alma mater, Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) on May 8th.

On that afternoon, Heize visited the 3rd floor of the administration building of Pukyong National University and handed over 30 million won to President Jang Young-Soo, expressing her wish for the donation to be used for student scholarships.

Heize, who graduated from the department of business administration at Pukyong National University, said, "My college days remain vivid and cherished memories in my life," she added, "I decided to donate scholarships with the intention of supporting my alma mater and students, especially upon hearing the news of the meaningful centennial anniversary."

She is also famous for her story of persuading her parents to pursue a career as a singer by dedicating herself to her studies, achieving a perfect credit (4.5) and graduating as the top student in her department, and an incident where she thought she would get scolded by the professor for writing lyrics during class, but instead, the professor's supportive words led her to resolve to become a rapper.

Following the delivery of the development fund on this day, Heize attended the spring festival 2024 (Daedongje) commemorating the centennial of the founding of Pukyong National University as an invited singer, loudly cheered by students.

Heize said, "Many performances have always been memorable to me, but performing at my alma mater makes me realize how much I have grown as a singer. I sincerely support my alma mater, which celebrates its 100th anniversary, to continue expanding as a greater university." <Pukyong Today>
