University is Open Campus; Graduate School is Open Lab!
-Pukyong National University, Holds ‘Open Lab Day’ on the 29th to Open Graduate School Laboratories

Similar to open campus events that offer campus experience opportunities, graduate schools are also hosting events that provide lab experience opportunities, attracting attention.
Pukyong National University held the ‘2024 Pukyong Academic Conference - Open Lab Day’ on October 29th.
This event is an initiative by the graduate school of Pukyong National University to attract outstanding graduate students by offering laboratory and faculty introductions, as well as laboratory tours.
On this day, 57 laboratories from Pukyong National University participated in the event, offering laboratory tours and meetings with professors.
The event was attended by about 200 undergraduate students, including Pukyong National University students and students from universities in the Busan area, who are interested in pursuing graduate studies. They visited various laboratories and research facilities and engaged in networking activities.
Following the event, Pukyong National University also held the 2024 Thesis Competition for members of Pukyong to share outstanding research achievements of graduate students, an invited lecture by Kim Byung-jun, Director of AWS Korea, on ‘The Role and Future Prospects of Gen AI Technology for Sustainable Manufacturing,’ and the PKNU Outstanding Laboratory Awards on the 30th.
Pukyong National University’s Graduate School Dean Jeong Seok-won stated, “The Pukyong Academic Conference (PAC), held for the fourth year this year, not only served as a platform for graduate students to share their outstanding research achievements but also as an exchange event where undergraduate students could explore graduate school opportunities. I hope that undergraduate students interested in graduate studies will be able to realize their dreams and hopes at Pukyong National University Graduate School.”
Meanwhile, the Graduate School Innovation and Promotion Institute at Pukyong National University, which organized these events, is running the Phase 4 BK21 Graduate School Innovation Project and hosting various events to enhance research exchanges and strengthen the capabilities of graduate students. <Pukyong Today>
