7 PKNU students passed the recruitment test for marine fisheries researchers at the NIF

Pukyong National University (President Jang Young-Soo) has produced 7 successful candidates in the recruitment exam for maritime and fisheries researchers at the National institute of fisheries science.
Pukyong National University has listed 7 names: Kim So-Ra, Park Soo-Jin, Choi Jae-Hoon, Lee Min-Kyung, Heo Gyeom, Baek Soo-Yeon, and Yoon Hyeon-Jeong on the list of final successful candidates for the first research official (marine and fisheries researcher) career competitive recruitment exam in 2023 recently announced by the National institute of fisheries science.
The National institute of fisheries science is the only national research institute that studies the marine and fisheries sector in Korea and is in charge of management of coastal and deep-sea fisheries resources, development of aquaculture technologies, surveys of the fishing ground environment, development of fisheries engineering technologies, and aquatic life control.
In this recruitment test, the National institute of fisheries science selected a total of 21 public officials in research positions in the fields of marine environment (research on the ocean/coastal environment), fishery resources (resources and ecology of organisms), aquaculture (aquaculture production / biotechnology / aquatic disease), fishery engineering (fishing method/equipment development/fisheries and marine facilities), and fishery processing (food safety/processed nutrition).
Kim So-Ra (phd in oceanography, advisory prof. Baek Hye-Ja) passed the section of resource biology and ecology, Park Soo-Jin (phd in marine biology, advisory prof. Choi Yoon-Hee) passed the aquaculture production, and Choi Jae-Hoon (master's in marine biology, advisory prof. Gong Seung-Pyo) and Lee Min-Kyung (phd in food and life science, advisory prof. Nam Taek-Jeong) passed the biotechnology section.
Heo Gyeom (phd in fisheries physics, advisory prof. Shin Hyeon-Ok) passed the fishing method section, Baek Soo-Yeon (master's in intelligent robotics, advisory prof. Lee Kyeong-Chang) passed the equipment redevelopment section, and Yoon Hyeon-Jeong (master's in food and life science, advisory prof. Lee Sang-Gil) passed the processed nutrition section.
These final successful candidates will be appointed from the beginning of July and will start working in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam. <Pukyong Today>
