"Job interviews, prepare with VR (Virtual Reality) now." The Pukyong National University Human Resources Development Group (Director, Ryu Ji-yeol) has set up a VR interview room with 10 interview VR machines and 10 partition seats in the counseling room on the 1st floor of the Library, Academic Information Hall and it started operation in earnest from July 17. VR equipments for interviews are equipped with programs provided by specialists in this field and provide users with real environment similar to interviews. When a user wears a VR device and headphones, two virtual interviewers appear in front of the audience and ask questions and respond as if we are actually interviewed. Virtual interviewers do not just ask questions, but they also ask tail questions based on user responses and point out when users look elsewhere or answer in small voices. The virtual interviewer prepares various types of interviewers to utilize the images actually taken in advance and to experience various interview environments. The VR device analyzes the user's voice size, eyes as well as answering length and speed during the interview process and displays it on the screen in real time, and provides a recording file to supplement the lack of points when the interview is over. This service is operated in advance. A student who wishes to interview a VR can use the online booking system to register the date of use and visit the designated date. The Pukyong National University Human Resources Development group is open to the students of Pukyong as well as university students in the Busan area, such as nearby universities, and provides post-consulting services to students who use VR interviews. "We hope that students will be able to utilize the VR interview system to practice over time and space without restrictions, to overcome the tension and improve basic speaking skills," said Ryu Ji-yeol, the Director of the Human Resources Development Group. <Pukyong Today> |
